Gavin Oak-Lee Reed

Gavin Oak-Lee Reed is a 23-year-old award-winning actor, cinematographer, writer, and director based in Louisville, KY. With experience in front of and behind the camera, he is a versatile collaborator who is fully committed to the art of storytelling.

Most recently, Gavin won a Student Emmy for his cinematography on the short film "TOAST" (2023) and was nominated for Best Actor at the 2023 Nashville 48-Hour Film Festival. His short film "Woodpecker" is currently playing in the festival circuit.
​
In 2021, Gavin worked as a video logger for the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games.
​
In addition to film, Gavin also has experience directing and acting for the stage. Most recently he was seen performing in the SHOTZ! Louisville short play festival. For two years, he also co-directed Friday Night Live, a sketch comedy and improv show.
​
Gavin currently works as a freelance film worker, A/V technician, editor, and actor, and pursues his own creative projects on the side.
